The acquisition will increase Kingston, N.Y.-based Ryan & Ryan's sales by 25 percent and add Preferred Mutual of New Berlin, N.Y., to its roster of 13 insurers. Reis and one other employee from his firm will join Ryan & Ryan.
"With this portfolio of underwriters, our firm retains its focus as being a go-to resource for health, life, auto, home and business insurance, particularly for individually owned small- and medium-sized businesses and individuals," Ryan said.
