House Speaker-designate John Boehner has named Rep. Dan Lungren chairman of the House Administration Committee for the 112th Congress.
Lungren, R-Calif., who has been a member of the committee, will be responsible for running the House smoothly, efficiently and cost-effectively, according to Boehner, R-Ohio.
Lungren, a former California attorney general, has helped insurers fight efforts to narrow the scope of the McCarran-Ferguson Act antitrust exemption for insurance.
