The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) plan to hold 3 public roundtable meetings on insurance contract standards in the next few months.
IASB, London, and FASB, Norwalk, Conn., are working together on insurance accounting standards efforts, and FASB is close to releasing a discussion paper seeking comments on a draft it released in June.
The IASB-FASB insurance contract meetings are set to take place Dec. 7 in Tokyo, Dec. 16 in London and Dec. 20 in Norwalk, Conn.
