Humana Inc. has acquired Hummingbird Coaching Services L.L.C., a personalized health and wellness coaching firm.
Humana, Louisville, Ky. (NYSE:HUM), a managed care company, is not saying how much it is paying for Hummingbird, Cincinnati.
Humana already offers disease management programs, health coaching programs, personal nurses and other services through its LifeSych subsidiary.
Adding Hummingbird should help Humana offer "more targeted, lifestyle-specific assistance," the company says.
