Improving the way Americans buy health care will be the focus of a new think tank research study.
The Aetna Foundation, a foundation funded by Aetna Inc., Hartford (NYSE:AET), has awarded a $331,133 grant to the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at the Brookings Institution.
Researchers there will identify strategies for promoting use of "value-based purchasing" strategies in the U.S. health system.
