A mutual insurer is adding a community bank in the Tampa, Fla., area.
Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Omaha, Neb., says is its Mutual of Omaha Bank unit will open the bank Friday, at a location near the intersection of Dale Mabry Highway and Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa.
Mutual of Omaha Bank now has three banks in Florida.
The others are in Naples, Fla., and in Marco Island, Fla.
Brian Holliday is the Mutual of Omaha Bank president for the Tampa Bay market.
The market is home to many companies, and a high concentration of Mutual of Omaha insurance customers, Holliday says.
