It looks as though Senator Richard Shelby (R-Alabama), ranking GOP member on the Senate Banking Committee, has rejoined negotiations on the financial services reform bill with Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Connecticut), chairman of the committee, according to a report broadcast on CNBC.

Dodd asked Senator Bob Corker (R-Tennessee) to take Shelby's place in the negotiations about a week ago; Shelby now will join both Senators to negotiate a revised bill that they plan to introduce next week, CNBC says.
