The Pennsylvania Insurance Department has put a collection of documents concerning Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company on its website.
Penn Treaty, Allentown, Pa., helped create the modern long term care insurance market, but it ran into trouble when its ability to sell LTC insurance coverage grew faster than its ability to raise capital.
Pennsylvania regulators have placed the company in rehabilitation and have filed a petition for liquidation.
