President Obama says he wants to bring Democrats together with Republicans, in front of television cameras, to come up with ideas for improving the U.S. health care and health insurance systems.

Obama made the remarks Sunday, during a pre-Super Bowl interview with Katie Couric.

Obama said he hopes to hold the bipartisan health care meeting Feb. 25.

Obama said he wants to ask the Republicans questions such as, "How do you guys want to lower costs?" and "How do you guys intend to reform the insurance market?"

House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, has said he wants to participate in the meeting, but also that he believes that the American voters already have rejected the Democratic health proposals.
