The National Association for the Self-Employed will be offering individual and family health insurance plans from Golden Rule Insurance Company in 20 states and the District of Columbia.

The NASE, Washington, and Golden Rule, Indianapolis, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., says the product menu will include traditional "co-pay" plans along with high-deductible plans.

In addition to the District of Columbia, the plans will be available to NASE members in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The NASE and Golden Rule hope to make the products available in North Carolina and West Virginia in March.
