Aflac Inc. (NYSE:AFL) is using an interactive "growing tree" to persuade prospective insurance agents to consider selling the company's products.
A tree graphic on the revamped version of Aflac's website, at http://www.aflac.com, shows potential Aflac agents how the company's support system would help their business. "Agents can help the tree grow by clicking on a virtual seed," the company says.
A section of the site aimed at businesses emphasizes how easy Aflac policies are to administer. On the broker section of the site, the Aflac Duck illustrates the same point.
The section of the site aimed at individuals uses a "duckumentary" from a real family that shows how Aflac products helped the company overcome the financial effects of serious health problems.
