A large insurance broker is using an acquisition to expand its share of the Anaheim, Calif., market for life and health coverage.
Hub International Ltd., Chicago, has purchased the life and health book of business of Wescom Insurance Services L.L.C., Anaheim. Hub also acquired Wescom's commercial lines business. Wescom is a subsidiary of Wescom Credit Union, Pasadena, Calif.
Hub is not saying how much it is paying for the books of business, but it says it will add Wescom life, health and commercial lines staffers to its Southern California team and keep the Wescom insurance office in Downey, Calif.
