Bankers Life and Casualty Company has added 4 streamlined products to its long term care insurance policy lineup.
The new Bankers SimpleChoice family, now available in 19 states, includes basic, standard, premier and elite LTC benefits packages, according to Bankers Life, Chicago, a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind.
Cash riders and cash disability riders are available. Bankers Life also is offering 3 new inflation-protection options with the plans, to make the plans compatible with state long term care partnership plans.
SimpleChoice applicants who are married can get a discount. The discount will apply even if an applicant's spouse does not also apply for coverage, Bankers Life says.
