Health Net Federal Services L.L.C. announced its sponsorship of Operation Peer Support at the Blinded Veterans Association 64th national convention in Portland, Ore., Aug. 18-22.
It is the fourth straight year that Health Net Federal, the government operations division of Health Net Inc., Rancho Cordova, Calif., has sponsored the event.
Operation Peer Support is a program that helps newly injured veterans from Iraq attend BVA's convention.
More than 140 blinded service members and veterans are expected at the event, says Health Net, a health care benefits company.
