Many workers feel that there is a cavity in their knowledge of their dental benefits.
Only about one-third said they feel they have enough information to understand or choose a plan, and 20% said they have no idea what is and is not covered, according to researchers at a unit of MetLife Inc., New York.
The unit conducted 500 online surveys of employees who have employer-paid dental benefits.
The employees said they spend about 25 minutes making the initial dental benefits enrollment decision, but only 5 minutes on the decision when they re-enroll.
