The Prudential Foundation recently agreed to give 5 grants with a total value of $2.9 million.
The foundation, established by Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., says the biggest grants, for $1 million each, will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Newark and to support the construction of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington.
