A fee-based separately managed account vendor has come out with portfolios aimed at clients who want to zig when the market zags.
Curian Capital L.L.C., Denver, a unit of Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., which, in turn, is a unit of Prudential P.L.C., London, has added an alternative asset class option to its Custom Style Portfolios program.
Curian clients can use the option to put assets in exchange-traded funds that invest in commodities, foreign currencies, private equity deals and other alternative asset classes.
