Health savings account assets fell slightly between the second and third quarters of 2008.
Researchers at Canopy Financial Inc., San Francisco, have published HSA figures in the third in a new series of HSA market reports.
The average individual HSA balance fell to $948, from $969, between the second and third quarters, and the average family HSA balance fell to $1,598, from $1663, the researchers say.
Comparable figures from 2007 were not available.
