Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is applying for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings certification for its headquarters.
MassMutual, Springfield, Mass., says it has prepared for the LEED-EB application process by replacing 500 plumbing fixtures with more efficient fixtures, upgrading its lighting, installing water-saving water chillers, keeping close tabs on data center energy use, and replacing disposable coffee cups with refillable mugs.
