MedAmerica Insurance Company has been certified to sell a partnership long term care insurance product in Virginia.
The Simplicity II cash-benefit policy will offer Virginia residents a vehicle for coordinating private LTC insurance benefits with Medicaid nursing home benefit qualification rules, to shield some assets from Medicaid spend-down requirements.
MedAmerica, Pittsburgh, is a subsidiary of Lifetime Healthcare Inc., Rochester, N.Y.
