Credit Suisse Life Settlements L.L.C. has obtained the licenses necessary to buy life insurance policies from residents of Puerto Rico and Florida.
Credit Suisse Life Settlements, New York, a unit of Credit Suisse A.G., Zurich, says it now has the licenses it needs to act as a life settlement provider in 45 U.S. jurisdictions.
Credit Suisse is one of a few providers with licenses in Florida, and it is the first to have a license in Puerto Rico, the firm reports.
