The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education says many individuals fail to buy life insurance simply . . . because.
LIFE, Arlington, Va., has included that finding in a summary of results from a survey of 1,007 U.S. residents ages 18 and older.
About 93% of the participants said most people should own life insurance, but about half said they have no coverage, or too little coverage.
Although 58% of the participants with too little coverage cited cost as the biggest barrier, 22% said they know too little about life insurance to buy it, and 23% said they just haven't gotten around to buying it.
