Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice Molasky-Arman will retire Sept. 7, state officials say.

Molasky-Arman has been serving as the state's insurance commissioner since 1995, when she was appointed to the post by Gov. Robert Miller, D.

The Nevada Division of Insurance says a scholarship for business and finance studies has been established at the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to honor Molasky-Arman's service to the state.
