Average annual premiums for health coverage have risen 10% this year, to more than $9,000 per employee.
C&B Consulting, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., Itasca, Ill., has based that estimate on survey responses from about 270 employers.
About 60% of the employers have started a wellness program or plan to start one, the firm says.
