Risk Management Solutions Inc. has introduced the RMS Infectious Disease Model.
The system gives insurers, corporate risk managers and others a tool they can use to predict how an influenza epidemic or pandemic might affect indicators such as overall casualty estimates or lost work-days at a specific company, according to RMS, Newark, Calif.
The model covers 31 countries and includes data for about 2,000 potential influenza outbreak scenarios, RMS says.
