The Securities Industry and Financial Services Association (SIFMA), announced December 20 that it has elected a Board of Directors, the same slate that was proposed at the November SIFMA Launch in Boca Raton, Florida, and nominated officers for whom it is expected that the Board will vote at its meeting in January.
SIFMA Co-Chair Ellyn McColgan, who is president of Boston-based Fidelity Brokerage, says in the announcement: "We couldn't have asked for a better group of representatives to advocate on behalf of the industry."
The slate includes three classes of directors who will serve for three years, for two years and one year.
The directors who are nominated for three-year terms that will end in 2009 include:
