America's Health Insurance Plans is joining in an effort to make the 1-year-old Medicare prescription benefits program easier for consumers to understand.
AHIP, Washington, has teamed up with the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Alexandria, Va., and the National Community Pharmacists Association, Alexandria, Va., to develop and distribute a new Medicare drug benefits guide.
The guide will be distributed through congressional district offices as well as through local pharmacies and chain drug stores, according to AHIP.
