More than 9 million children in the U.S. are not covered by health insurance, and the bulk of them live in 2-parent families, according to a new report.

An analysis of uninsured children by Families USA on behalf of the Campaign for Children's Health Care also found 88% come from families where at least one parent works.

The study also found uninsured children are more than 13 times as likely to lack a regular provider of health care as insured children.

In addition, they were more than 3 times as likely not to have seen a doctor in the past year as insured children.
