Moss-Adams's research over the past five years revealed these findings on employee retention:

  • Of employees leaving advisory firms, 8% were terminated for cause.
  • Another 24% of departing employees were terminated for poor performance.
  • Within the space of the prior three months, 22% of advisory employees reported looking for a job outside their present firm.
