A software company has persuaded a giant insurer to use its wellness analysis systems.
WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, has agreed to use systems from Resolution Health Inc., Columbia, Md., to search health plan records for opportunities to increase patients' compliance with nationally accepted care guidelines.
The Resolution Health technology compares actual patient care patterns with more than 1,000 specific care guidelines, Resolution Health says.
