A foundation affiliated with the National Association of Securities Dealers is spending $252,649 on a retirement income payout project.

Researchers at the College of William and Mary will use the grant to study how presentation of information and perceived risk affect an investor's ability to choose between receiving a lump sum or an income annuity, according to the NASD, Washington.
