A large insurer has started selling a new employee-paid benefits product.
Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, has introduced voluntary short-term and long-term disability insurance products.
Employers can combine voluntary and employer-paid products, create different disability programs for different groups of employees within the same company, and offer a Web-based enrollment process, Principal says.
