A large Midwestern insurer is introducing a health screening program.
Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says its new Principal Healthy Essentials program will offer blood pressure checks, blood sugar readings, cholesterol checks and other screenings for participating employers and employees.
Each participating employee will get a health risk analysis report that will offer personalized health improvement recommendations.
Principal also offers a Principal HealthyEdge program. The HealthyEssentials program is aimed at Principal group health customers, while the HealthyEdge program is aimed at all employers interested in offering wellness services, Principal says.
