Swiss Reinsurance Company has promoted Beat Strebel to head of its Latin American unit.
Strebel, who is based in Armonk, N.Y., previously was responsible for Swiss Re's property-casualty operations in Latin America.
Strebel has a degree in finance with a specialty in insurance and risk management from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, according to Swiss Re, Zurich.
