Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has developed a 5-day group disability education program for insurance producers and account managers.
The program includes core courses on topics such as contracts and underwriting along with a variety of electives, according to Hartford, Simsbury, Conn.
Most states will award up to 35 continuing education credits for program graduates, and students who complete the course can take a Group Benefits Disability Specialist designation exam that was developed by The National Underwriter Company, Erlanger, Ky., the company that publishes this Web site.
