A company that runs health plans for many large, self-insured employers is beefing up its behavioral health program.

The company, Great-West Healthcare, a unit of Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, Greenwood Village, Colo., has agreed to use the national mental health and substance abuse treatment network developed by ValueOptions Inc., Norfolk, Va., starting April 1.

The ValueOptions network includes more than 70 provider locations, according to Great-West, which is a unit of Power Financial Corp. of Canada, Montreal.
