Most employees seem to think their finances are much better or much worse than they were a year ago.[@@]
Researchers at ComPsych Corp., Chicago, an employee assistance plan company, have published figures supporting that conclusion in a report on an informal survey of ComPsych client employees conducted in September and October.
The share of participants who said their financial situation is about the same as it was a year ago dropped to 14%, from 23%.
The share of employees who say their financial situation is significantly worse increased to 52%, from 49%, but, despite the effects of the fall hurricanes, the share of employees who say their financial situation has improved has increased to 34%, from 28%.
