Genworth Financial Inc. has hired Philip Moeller to be vice president of corporate communications.[@@]

Moeller previously was the editor of the Hartford Business Journal, according to Genworth, Richmond, Va.

Moeller also has worked as a business editor at the Baltimore Sun and the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Moeller founded the Insure.com news Web site. He sold the site in 2001.

Moeller has a bachelor's degree in English from Princeton University and a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
