Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc. has acquired 2 local insurance agencies.[@@]
Berkshire Hills, Pittsfield, Mass., bought Onofrey Insurance and Financial Services Inc., Springfield, Mass., an agency that sells life, disability and health insurance products.
Berkshire also bought MacDonald & Johnson Inc., East Longmeadow, Mass., a property-casualty agency.
The price of the deals was not available, but Berkshire says it will operate both agencies as part of its own Berkshire Insurance Group Inc. insurance agency.
