Genworth Financial Inc. has chosen a Citigroup Inc. veteran to head a new retirement unit.[@@]

Genworth, Richmond, Va., has hired Fred Conley to be president of its recently formed institutional retirement group effort, which is part of its retirement income and investments division.

Conley previously was executive vice president of institutional sales at CitiStreet, a 401(k) plan service provider owned by Citigroup, New York.

Conley has a bachelor's degree from Columbia University.
