CoreSource will be offering access to a Blue Cross provider network to employer clients in California.[@@]
CoreSource, the benefits administration arm of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company, Lake Forest, Calif., has negotiated a network rental agreement with BC Life & Health Insurance Company of California, a unit of Anthem Inc., Indianapolis. The agreement calls for CoreSource to market access to BC Life's Prudent Buyer PPO Plan to California employers that operate self-insured health plans.
CoreSource customers will get access to the BC Life PPO network Jan. 1, 2006, and BC Life also will provide utilization and case-management services, CoreSource says.
The Prudent Buyer Plan PPO includes 48,000 doctors and about 400 hospitals, CoreSource says.
