Aon Corp. has hired Bill Pieroni to be global chief information officer.[@@]
Aon, Chicago, a big insurance broker, took more than a year to fill the global CIO post.
Pieroni previously was head of the global insurance industry practice at International Business Machines Corp., Armonk, N.Y.
Pieroni also has been a partner at what is now Accenture Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda.
Pieroni has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in business from Harvard University.
