A large Western group health carrier has agreed to distribute quotes and renewal information through a Web-based benefits quote service.[@@]
The carrier, Great-West Healthcare, Greenwood Village, Colo., will be communicating with brokers through the Aptus system, a system developed by BenefitPoint Inc., San Francisco, according to BenefitPoint.
The system now serves about 400 benefits brokerage offices.
Great-West, a company that specializes in selling health coverage to large, self-insured employers, is an affiliate of the Power Corp. of Canada, Montreal.
