CIGNA HealthCare has hired Michael Showalter to be vice president of consumerism.[@@]
Showalter, who helped develop the first personal account-based health plans while at Definity Health Corp., Minneapolis, will be in charge of running CIGNA's account-based health plan programs.
Before Showalter went to Definity, he was a health care consultant at Watson Wyatt & Company, Washington, and Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., New York.
