A Daytona Beach, Fla., insurance broker has scooped up another Florida firm.[@@]
The broker, Brown & Brown Inc., says it has acquired Emerald Benefits Inc., Weston, Fla., a retail insurance agency that generates $3.8 million in annual revenue.
Emerald Benefits sells benefits products to employers and individuals in South Florida, Brown & Brown says.
The price of the deal was not available, but Brown & Brown says Salvatore Capano, vice president of Emerald Benefits, will continue to manage the agency.
