A California pharmacy benefit manager has won a 3-year contract with an East Coast health carrier.[@@]

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Providence, R.I., has hired WellPoint Pharmacy Management, West Hills, Calif., to manage pharmacy benefit services for more than 550,000 health plan members starting July 1, 2005.

WellPoint Pharmacy is a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis.
