A Redwood City, Calif., insurance broker has added a benefits specialist.[@@]
ABD Insurance and Financial Services has hired Tony Casabat to be a senior vice president and sales executive in the company's employee benefits practice.
Casabat, who has focused on advising large and midsize companies, has been a principal in the San Francisco office of Mercer Human Resource Consulting L.L.C. He also has worked for Aetna Inc., Hartford, and for an independent, San Francisco-based insurance brokerage firm.
Casabat has a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He holds the Certified Financial Planner professional designation.
ABD is a unit of Greater Bay Bancorp, Palo Alto, Calif.
