A financial services marketing consortium will be relying on veterans from a major discount securities broker to help it win more asset-management business.[@@]
M Financial Group, Portland, Ore., has hired Gerald Graves to be senior vice president of its M Wealth unit and Douglas Heikkinen to be the unit's vice president.
Graves previously was a managing partner at LEAP Partners L.L.C., San Francisco, and Heikkinen was the firm's chief operating officer.
Both executives also spent more than a decade working in the institutional services unit at Charles Schwab & Company Inc., San Francisco, where they helped Schwab reach out to independent investment managers.
