WellChoice Inc., New York, has hired Lumenos Inc., Alexandria, Va., to help it set up a major account-based health plan program.[@@]
WellChoice, the parent of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, is one of the biggest carriers in New York. It hopes to make account-based plans available starting in January 2005.
Lumenos will handle administrative and technology services for the program, WellChoice says.
