The firm is setting up a consulting service that will work with insurers and mutual fund companies to create investment menus appropriate for different types of employers. A provider will be able to consider the size of a plan, its employee demographics, its participation rate and its participants' financial sophistication when steering the sponsor to a particular menu, Ibbotson says.
